Rainier Cherries originated in 1952 in Washington, USA and M&S was the first retailer to sell Rainier Cherries in the 1980’s. They are named after Mount Rainier, the highest peak in Washington.
Rainier cherries are sweet and are a good source of vitamin C, potassium and melatonin. They are also ‘child-friendly’ as the yellow fruit does not stain!
