bbc countryfile live 2017

BBC Countryfile Live covers up to a hundred acres of land and plays host to hundreds of activities and stands in the grounds of Blenheim Palace.

Returning for the second year running it was clear to see why so many visitors travelled across the country to attend. The show aims to bring together everything people love about the countryside, including food and drink. It was full of various sights, activities, shows, demonstrations, food stands, shopping halls and much more. It was also lovely to see some famous faces in attendance from Matt Baker and Anita Rani to Adam Henson and John Craven.

The Adventures in Fruit stand was situated by the entrance on a large pitch in prime position for attracting people to try the products. Many visitors to our stand mentioned how great it was to come across fresh fruit. People especially loved that it offered children the chance to have a healthy refuel throughout the day. Over the 4 days we sampled Genuine Coconut water, Flavorking plums and yellow flesh nectarines which all went down a treat. Visitors were impressed with the quality of the premium fruit and commented that it was some of the best they had ever tasted.

We were very pleased to see some familiar faces when Marcus Bean visited the stand and sampled the fruit and coconut water. Great Britain paralympic athlete Mel Nicholls also popped over to the stand and loved trying the fruit and seeing the team.

The fruit was very well received each with it’s own unique selling point. Flavorking plums are a natural hybrid of a red plum and an apricot and have a renowned taste of bubblegum! The yellow flesh nectarines pleasantly surprised people by how perfectly ripe they were, having found that nectarines purchased elsewhere are not usually ripe enough to eat. The Genuine Coconut water was a hit with many who had never tried coconut water before and the tropical feel gave them a taste of sunny holidays abroad. One man told us; "That's the best coconut water I've ever had."

Overall, the show was a huge success and we completed our goal of raising awareness of these wonderful fruits.

Thank you BBC Countryfile Live for having us again, we hope we will meet again next year!
