Coming Up: Apples and Pears in London
We have an exciting week ahead - we are taking apples and pears on a London adventure.
Have you ever tried a Rockit apple? They are a unique and exciting new variety from New Zealand. Deliciously sweet and juicy, this apple is small and bite-sized. What makes them even more special is that since Rockit’s UK launch, the fruit has been sold in an inventive ‘Rockit Tube’. This fruit is exclusive to Marks and Spencer and is currently grown in the UK by David Figgis, who has a small volume of Rockit trees on his farm in Faversham in Kent. You will find British Rockit apples in stores from mid November. However, if you are passing Kensington High Street on Friday, then please call by M&S to find our Rockit team handing out free apples to passers by. They will be there to tell you all about the fantastic apple and to give you an apple to take on your journey.
Not only are Rockit apples venturing onto Kensington High Street, but a selection a British apples and pears will also be appearing at the BBC Good Food Show at Olympia this weekend. If you don’t already have plans this weekend come and see us at the show, where we will be sampling various apple and pear varieties. You will be greeted by our fantastic team and invited onto our stand to learn about the British fruit. Not only that, but you will be given an exclusive coupon for 50p off any packaged apple or pear pack in Marks and Spencer.
It’s a busy week ahead, but we are excited to meet you all!
