We're always looking to bring you not just the best fruit in season, but sometimes we also try to share something extra special, especially at times like Christmas. This year, we returned to Padstow with a modern take on Christmas fruit & nuts!
Exciting news! Marks and Spencer is thrilled to introduce the Pink Tiger lemon exclusively to its stores in the UK. This is a very special and unique lemon and we are very excited to share it with you.
The Cheshire Cat Cake Shop & Bakery is a new company who are setting up in Cheltenham. They wanted some reviews on their cakes and delivered us some fantastic pecan cakes last Monday. They were so good we challenged them to come up with creative ways to incorporate our current seasonal fruit - apples and pears into delicious cupcakes, in celebration of National Cupcake Week last week.
It is apple and pear season at the moment and we are excited to start lots of fun activities with these fruits. There are a lot of different apple and pear varieties in the supermarket and it can sometimes be tricky to choose which variety is the best for your needs and taste.
Last Tuesday we were lucky enough to attend an M&S open farm day in Herefordshire, to learn more about British apples and pears. Many staff members from M&S stores across the South-West and Wales were invited to come and find out more about the growing process. This was so they could go back to their stores and sell the products better, with more knowledge and understanding about the fruit. We listened to several interesting growers and suppliers who shared their knowledge about the fruit and the upcoming innovations for British apples and pears.
Fresh stone fruit, such as peaches, nectarines and greengages are all perfectly ripe and in season at the moment. Marks and Spencer has fully stocked shelves full of these fabulous fruits for you all to try throughout the summer months. We have been touring the country over the past three weeks to bring the best stone fruit to you. Our aim was to encourage people to try and learn about the fruit and our farmers. We then encouraged people to purchase some fruit to claim a wonderful green adventure goodie bag.
